So I’ve already technically got a WordPress blog but I thought that having it at http://​craigbaldwin​.wordpress​.com/ was just not enough and had to go one step further. Everyone else has their own hosted website so I thought I should give it a try.

Of course the main problem with that is I have absolutely no prior experience with web hosting, CSS or FTP stuff.

So this is the blog of me, Craig Baldwin, a Graphic Arts student at the Winchester School of Art. I’m going into my second year this October where I’ll be studying Graphic Design and specialising in Final Cut and Aperture.

As you can probably tell from the blog I’ve only managed to change the images that were included with the theme to something more relevant to me. This is the /​blog domain I do intend to put a Sweetcron lifestream on the main page when I can figure out how to set it up.

It’s not entirely true that I’ve never done CSS before, when I used my LiveJournal blog a lot I was a paid user and edited how that looked, but I never really learnt CSS. Just adapted other people’s code to do what I wanted. 

And I suppose I have experience with HTML but only a little bit, like <B> and the like.

Reassuringly I’m already getting connection errors with my blog. Well WordPress recommended BlueHost so I was hoping they’d be good but perhaps I should have gone for a UK based hosting service. Though without knowing what other people are using I didn’t know what else to do.

As I continously fiddle I’m sure I’ll have more to say later, also to fill out the page and make it look less sparse.
