7 Sites of Inspiration
So I thought I’d do a little post on where I find my inspiration on the web. The sort of sites I visit more than daily to see the latest designs, typography and everything else that is interesting. This list has recently grown with some newcomers. So here they are.
Abduzeedo
Abduzeedo provides quality tutorials and artist posts but with their daily inspiration posts they go further with a daily dose of inspiration, they also provide weekly summaries of good websites and video inspiration. Probably one of the best all round websites.
Design Dosage
Each day has its own category such as Icon Monday, Typography Tuesday etc. This is a nice simple system keeping the inspiration more focused.
Design You Trust
A more ‘ordinary’ inspiration site relying on its users to post up work they come across and with a large number of users they do find some pretty amazing stuff. There doesn’t seem to be much moderation but things are kept organised through the use of an up and down voting system.
FFFFound!
Again users just submit interesting work on this no-nonsense site. Simple as it gets and excellent all the same with a good application of keyboard shortcuts. Register by invitation only.
FreshBump
This site is like a Digg of design, users submit work, people bump the work if they like it, you sort it the way you like it, viewing the popular or fresh posts.
Yay! Monday!
The original Yay! each Monday a new issue is released with nine selected bits of work for your viewing. Yay! Monday focuses on Design, Art and Photography.
Yay! Everyday
Taking the Yay! to everday this site keeps the inspiration coming every day of the week, not just on Monday. You need an invition code to get in, which Dark Motion is offering over here.
You may have even more than me which I’d always be happy to hear about, the more the better, after a while you do get some repeats but then that’s bound to happen and I don’t mind, tells me that it’s really good if it’s submitted to multiple sites.
